Material errors should be corrected plainly and without quietly resetting the publication date.

Policy reviewed

A correction note should explain the factual change and its date. Minor spelling or formatting repairs need not create an update notice.

How a report is handled

The editorial desk checks the disputed passage against the supplied evidence and the article’s original sources. A material factual error requires a visible correction in the affected article. New evidence that changes the explanation requires a revision notice. Both preserve the original publication date.

The list below shows articles with a recorded material revision date. A revision is not automatically a correction of an error; the affected article explains what changed.

Report an error

Use the editorial contact form and include the article URL, the passage you believe is wrong and a source that helps us verify the point. Messages are stored in the publication’s protected editorial system for review.

Published revisions
